Currently, dock nr. 170 is accommodating Transfennica TIMCA, a 205m long and 25.8m wide RoRo cargo vessel.  

Number of subsidiaries of the Group contribute to the repair of the vessel. A team of experienced and higly qualified employees, including ship repairers, hull workers, painters, electricians, scaffolders and mechanics are busy getting this beauty back on track in shortest possible time.

The scope of works include:

• Complex hull repairs and steel replacement
• Complex electrical works
• Painting jobs
• Other routine repair jobs

The dismantling of the steering-propeller complex poses a number of challenges for the Western Shiprepair team. It is planned to dismantle both propellers and two rudder blades. According to Aldas Karinauskas, BLRT Repair Yards Regional Sales Manager, these type of works are unique due to complex`s construction. Repair is quite rare and requires specific technological knowledge.

Transfennica Timca is the fifth vessel to be repaired in our FD 170, which started operating at the end of 2020.
