In August, Tallinn Shipyard, one of BLRT Repair Yards, welcomed a 118 m long chemical tanker DUTCH EMERALD of John T. Essberger GmbH & Co KG for an intermediate survey.
In a frame of maintenance, specialists of the yard performed:
– treatment (cleaning and painting) of 5180 m2 of different surfaces
– cargo pumps` repairs
– partial renewal of pipes of various piping systems
– other routine jobs
Worth mentioning that earlier this year, sister ship DUTCH AQUAMARINE of the same owner also visited Tallinn Shipyard for an intermediate survey. During vessel stay team of the yard performed hull treatment works, executed an overhaul of 3 electrical windlasses and cargo deep well pumps. The list of works was supplemented by interior works and the replacement of various valves and pipelines.
In order for the vessels to comply with the International Maritime Organization BWM Convention, specialists in the conversion and modernisation department of the yard installed a BSKY TM BWMS onboard both DUTCH AQUAMARINE and DUTCH EMERALD
