The BLRT REPAIR YARDS Tallinn team is again welcoming a vessel from JD-Contractor A/S – this time, the AHTS SIMA, a DP2 offshore installation vessel. Built for offshore installation and support work, SIMA is designed to operate globally, taking on roles such as ROV work, cablelaying, towing, anchor handling, and supply operations.

The scope of work includes extensive steel replacement even in the most confined, machinery-packed areas, such as the deck inside the rudder compartment. In addition, the project involves insulation work, large-scale piping installations, mechanical maintenance on the main engines and bow thruster, and a full hull cleaning and painting

This isn’t the first time JD-Contractor A/S has entrusted us with their fleet. Almost a year ago, VINA, a multipurpose DP1 installation vessel, underwent maintenance and BWTS installation at the yard in Tallinn.

Now, SIMA follows, reinforcing the partnership!
