Team BLRT REPAIR YARDS Klaipeda just wrapped up work on research vessel R/V Marcus G. Langseth owned and operated by the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University.
To keep the R/V Marcus G. Langseth ready for its next mission, our team undertook several key repairs: surface treatment of hull, decks, superstructure, tanks | overhaul of shipside valves | rudders and stern tube seals repair | bow thruster controller renewal | ER fans renewal and bilge wells replacement | renewal of gun rails and major piping works and other DD routine jobs
From its labs and deck spaces to its advanced seismic equipment, the R/V Marcus G. Langseth will soon set off on its next journey – and who knows what discoveries it will bring to light?
