The arrival of the chemical tanker Fjordstraum of Utkilen AS for its intermediate survey marks a milestone for BLRT Repair Yards Tallinn.

This project is particularly significant for us, as Fjordstraum is the first vessel to enter our recently modernised FD2, following an ambitious and technically demanding upgrade program- a new chapter in our capacity to handle technically demanding repair and maintenance with even greater efficiency and safety

The modernization included the installation of new ballast and pumping systems to accelerate docking, upgraded electrical systems to ensure improved power distribution, enhanced fire suppression systems for greater safety, large-scale steel renewal to reinforce the dock’s structural integrity, and the addition of advanced wastewater collection and sewage treatment systems to meet the latest environmental standards.

The transformation reflects BLRT Grupp’s strong commitment to innovation. It marks another significant milestone in a long-term investment program focused on the future of ship repair, enhancing operational efficiency, sustainability, and readiness for the industry’s evolving needs.
