After the successful SCR retrofit on SILVER STAR, another Silver Sea fleet member, SILVER CRYSTAL, has now completed her drydocking and SCR system integration at BLRT Repair Yards Tallinn.

Alongside the drydocking works and general maintenance, our team carried out a full-scale integration of the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system.

These retrofits are part of Silver Sea’s broader commitment to reducing emissions and aligning its reefer fleet with IMO Tier III NOₓ requirements, a step for vessels trading in NECAs such as the Baltic and North Seas.

Next in line is SILVER BIRD, which will undergo the same transformation. Another move toward a cleaner, more sustainable operation across the fleet.
