After months of planning, coordination, and engineering, DEUTSCHLAND, the first of two Scandlines ferries to undergo conversion, has arrived at BLRT Repair Yards Klaipeda. Her transformation into a plug-in hybrid vessel is now officially underway.

To be equipped with a fast-charging 5 MWh energy storage system, this milestone retrofit will bring Scandlines closer to its goal of emission -free ferry operations on the Puttgarden-Rødby route by 2030.
