BLRT Repair Yards Tallinn carried out an extensive maintenance program on the container ship CMA CGM SOUTH, covering propulsion, hull treatment, machinery, piping, electrical systems, lifesaving equipment, and interior areas.
A major part of the project focused on the vessel’s propulsion system. Our teams removed the tail shaft and rudder blade, completed a full CPP hub overhaul, replaced defective components, and restored worn parts through cladding and machining. The propulsion scope also included stern tube seal renewal and Airguard installation.
The wider repair programme extended across the vessel. Our teams carried out hull blasting and painting, cleaning and gas-freeing of fuel tanks, piping works, maintenance of main and auxiliary engine heat exchangers and air coolers, overhaul of pumps and electric motors, lifesaving appliance works and interior repairs.
