BLRT Repair Yards are committed to ensuring all work meets the high safety and reliability standards needed for the maintenance of a vessel, especially when it comes to a tanker.
Since the start of this year, a group of yards has kept welcoming different types of tankers one after another.
In late June, BLRT Repair Yards in Tallinn received a contract for maintenance and retrofit of an almost 100m long chemical tanker STOLT SEAGULL of a well- known Norwegian shipping company Stolt Tankers.
During vessel stay, specialists performed different kinds of jobs such as hull treatment, rudder blade removal and re-fitting, an overhaul of stern tube seals, heat exchangers, marine safety equipment inspection and other routine works to meet the requirements of the ship owner and classification society.
In order for STOLT SEAGULL to support environmental goals and comply with IMO ballast water exchange regulations, team BLRT Repair Yards installed and commissioned a 500 m3/h BWTS system produced by Desmi Ocean Guard A/S
For reference, STOLT SEAGULL wasn`t the only vessel of the same shipowner to visit the group of yards since the start of 2022. Earlier this year, team BLRT Repair Yards in Klaipeda completed the maintenance of two more vessels of Stolt Tankers: a 180 m long STOLT LIND and 176.75 m long STOLT.
